An attitude of gratitude...
the little old ladies in Al -Anon advised me with a smile ... so today I am grateful for that beautiful sun shining through my collection of colored vintage glass.
The house smelling like pine trees
And a fresh new day where anything can happen :)

Snow snow snow
God must have had a hay day!
I imagined him adding just a bit of water to a bowl full of icing sugar. And then using a giant wooden spoon, dropping globs of white fluff down from heaven, just to mesmerize us with its beauty.
It literaly came down in spoon fulls, huge clumps of snowflakes. And that is how it sat on those trees. Like frozen white snakes, curling around branches and outlining trunks.
This is the first year Semay is excited about the snow. Nose pressed against the cold glass, looking to see if it snowed last night, and then outside she goes to plop down in snow angel style.
I think it is going to be a good winter for all

Harvest moon
We have been mesmerized by the harvest moon and bright stars covering the dark cold sky at nights
So to celebrate we've been dancing to this
:: Under the moon
To learn we've been making this
:: Light table constellations
(supplies - white oil pastel, black construction paper and a pin)
And to be transported to a whole other world we've been enjoying these

Tiny moments of treasure
There is something about a change in the seasons that help you stop in your tracks, take a deep breath and live fully in that moment.
Our September has been full of adjustment, changes, and wishes for our future - leaving little room for appreciating the moment and enjoying the present.
Then the leaves changed and the sight of that beautiful yellow against the crisp blue finally took me out of my head and plopped me in the here and now. So many treasures to find if we just open our eyes and appreciate this day.
