Crazy canola

The sun set and made its bed
in this prairie town
enflaming the fields
in its yellow gown

Yeah, I took it on my way to your house :) - two of my favourite things - canola fields and the red barn of course!

Lovely poem Wilme.

Does Canola have a fragrance? Near my home ( we live outside of Ottawa) the farmer down the road planted a field of Mustard one summer and I was so taken back by the gorgeous vibrant yellow of the flowers and their lovely scent that I was inspired to write a poem much like you have done here.

By the way, I don't mean to pry but from the topics and scenery , do you live in Saskatchewan? My husband and son work in Jansen. I had reservations to moving out there being afraid there be no trees and no gardening : ) silly me.

Love the red barn and Canola field…dreamy landscape. Thanks for sharing.
