10 am, 12pm, 2pm - I looked at the clock
4pm, 6pm, 8pm - bed
A whole day went by and I did nothing
Well if you look at the whiteboard filled with Have to do's and Want to do's - I did nothing
Not a single item got checked off or even started.
But if you look at my little boy - I did something
He woke up with a high fever and all day needed to be held, to be soothed, to be rocked and cared for
It reminded me of last summer,
when I stood by my livingroom window -
bouncing back and forth,
watching summer come and go -
as I desperately tried to console this crying baby.
And it made me realize that we have come a loooong way.
We've already had so many wonderful summer moments and the season has just begun.
So for now - instead of using these hands to plant seeds or stain fences, I'll use them to hold this precious boy knowing that this too shall pass!

Poor Etian....I hope he is feeling better soon! What a beautiful picture of you and your boy : )
I love how similar the pictures we both posted yesterday are :)
You look beautiful in that picture by the way.
Hope Etian feels better today.
